Pan enby tech/gaming nerd. Former(?) speedrunner. Absolute streaming tech/CDN dork. "Kusoge" appreciator and retro game historian. Fox/Jolteon on the internet. Site Reliability Witch. Antifash, anticapitalist, anti-big-tech. Goth metal/darkwave enjoyer. Silicon Valley -> PNW escapee. Fedi user since 2015 (GNUSoc -> Pleroma -> GtS).

I may kink/lewd post with specific CWs. I tag misinfo. I try to be genuine and avoid excess sarcasm.

I don't have a name I "go by"; just pick something to call me. Trysdyn or Trys works as a default if you've got nothing else. Feel free to reply, boost, DM, or lewd at me regardless of familiarity.

over 21... and has been awhile

I'm really thinking about speedrunning Goofy's Hysterical History Tour for BBG.

The game's miserable. Half the jumps are "Hope there's a platform there because Goofy's sprite is huge and you can see maybe an eighth of a second of falling below you at any given time", the grapple physics are trash.

But I think now that I know the recipe to beating it it'd be pretty easy to route.

Abuh?? That's a first...

Snagged my swimsuit ties on a door knob and vwoop, there it goes in one clean pull.

Hope a neighbor wasn't outside looking in through my open window at that moment. >_>

I think I need to just accept that my anxiety won't allow vee to commission artists unless there's an extremely pertinent opportunity where something else breaks the ice first.

That said, helping someone out that's in a rough financial spot and getting art of squeaky jolteon stuff is a win/win.

Might be a hot minute til I see the end result though.

@junebug This drives vee bats too.

I'm not naive, I've spent an entire life spending 60% of every waking moment thinking about what can go wrong and struggling to have backups for backups for backups and this has given vee a shred of security in knowing I'm probably the most prepared mofo in the room if something does go bad.

Let vee have what little optimism that provides.

People who seem to be a walking encyclopedia of everything negative about everything but will shrug and go "I haven't experienced it so I don't know" when you try to point out positives fit in this too.

I think this is still my favorite Twitch clip ever. (Soft jumpscare? Snake warning?)

Also BBG And Speedrun Ragnarok opened their submissions within an hour of each other, haha.

Our actual events are a month apart though. You can do both! Do both if you and your run qualify for both!

We just opened submissions for Big Bad Game-a-thon 2025: the yearly Twitch stream event dedicated to live commentated speedruns and superplays of kusoge, bakage, jank, etc etc etc.

Signups are open the entire month of July and the event itself is September 19-21.

If you haven't heard vee ramble about BBG before, you can see our past event VODs, read a little info, and get the signup form at the event's website: https://bigbadgameathon.com/

This event's my baby and I always push to see new faces come sign up, because I love seeing new angles and commentary on weird janky stuff.

@atax1a Yeah the first thing I thought was "Great more shit that has to go on CF to not just melt under the melange of bullshit that is the internet in 202X"
@gregandcin Hell, the small scale ones ain't a picnic either.

Learning that there were people who thought I was too much when I was trying to be flavorless and palatable really has reinforced my faith in my decision to stop being that. It's never enough.

I wasn't happy doing that, and Those People were still not happy either. So now I'm comfortable and they're still not happy. A win with no loss.
