I’ve heard nothing since. He’s not answering his phone at all. Today is his birthday so I asked all his aunts, uncles and cousins to text him, which they have. I don’t even know if he’s alive because I can’t trust what his partner says. He’s my baby boy.
This is a safe space for me to offload for now.
This weekend my son’s abusive partner messaged me out of the blue to tell me that my son was sometimes suicidal, self-harming and in a fragile state of mental health. I don’t know if any of that is true because she is extremely manipulative. I gave her the number for her local Crisis Team and told her that a professional needs to see him and decide what help he needs. If he won’t go to them then she must refer him. She didn’t on this occasion.
By 6.30pm I had my answer and it was… unexpected. My existing poor thyroid levels were critically low, to the extent that it was affecting my heart rate! It was like an episode of House as the things which would normally show some dodgy heart shenanigans just weren’t there. The Doc was so pleased to be able to give me the answer and I was very relieved to receive it!
.. they were “yeah, you need to call 999 or get to the hospital asap”. So here I am.
#LoveTheNHSWhy didn’t I go straight to a&e? It only lasted 20 minutes and I was completely fine afterwards, other than needing a ginormous wee! I thought it was Atrial Fibrillation which I’d planned to see the GP about. As soon as I mentioned pain in my jaw though… 😬
Seemingly over Christmas Day & Boxing Day (overnight) I might’ve had a couple of heart attacks. One I was very aware of, the other notsomuch. Phoned my GP at 8am, described my symptoms and I’ve been at the hospital pretty much since then! Just waiting for some blood results to hopefully tell us what’s going on.
@Thewinegasm oooh Luscent Clouds! It must be very cold up there.
Chatting to my daughter today and she told me that they’ll be having essentially a donated Christmas dinner this year. Within minutes of finding that out, her dad and I went out to buy some groceries for them. Some essentials and lots of fripperies and treats to bring a bit of joy. We’re doing a Christmas gift delivery to them tomorrow so it’s won’t be too much of a surprise if we turn up with a few extras.
Apparently today is
#Caturday too so I can definitely add to your viewing pleasure; Tully & Ashley Bojangles.
