Seemingly over Christmas Day & Boxing Day (overnight) I might’ve had a couple of heart attacks. One I was very aware of, the other notsomuch. Phoned my GP at 8am, described my symptoms and I’ve been at the hospital pretty much since then! Just waiting for some blood results to hopefully tell us what’s going on.
Why didn’t I go straight to a&e? It only lasted 20 minutes and I was completely fine afterwards, other than needing a ginormous wee! I thought it was Atrial Fibrillation which I’d planned to see the GP about. As soon as I mentioned pain in my jaw though… 😬
.. they were “yeah, you need to call 999 or get to the hospital asap”. So here I am. #LoveTheNHS
By 6.30pm I had my answer and it was… unexpected. My existing poor thyroid levels were critically low, to the extent that it was affecting my heart rate! It was like an episode of House as the things which would normally show some dodgy heart shenanigans just weren’t there. The Doc was so pleased to be able to give me the answer and I was very relieved to receive it!
