@ejo60 thanks! The QDX is apparently sensitive to poor SWR so voltage makes sense.

Back on the air! Replaced a BS170 and performed quality control with a jeweler’s loupe.

😁 Failed BS170 on the source leg (Q8 on rev 3, QDX). Family thinks I’m nuts for being happy, but great chance to learn more about what happened! Good reports and QSOs on FT8 just before the smoke.
