One of several of our Imbe (Garcinia livingstonei) growing up. This tree is known as African Mangosteen, African Yellow-Milkwood, and in tshiVenda it’s known as Muphiphi, which is fun to say, but we all know it better by the xiTsonga Imbe or Imbi. It’s one of our favourite mangosteens and one of a handful that do well in Central Florida. They are some of the slowest growing trees and dioecious so be patient and plant it with some friends.

My baby cashew is flowering for the first time today. Cashews are in the top 5 of my favourite fruit trees to grow. I love the entire Anacardiaceae family. I hope this baby grows big and bountiful.

Absolutely love the Amla (Phyllanthus emblica) trees. We’ve put three in the property thus far. Not only are their fruits medicinal, high in vitamins, great for skin and hair, but the trees just have so much character and grace to them.
