‼️ We have until Monday to tell MPs to save free access to the Internet ‼️

On Monday MPs are voting on the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill.

Amendments in this bill could give new Ministerial power to decide which internet services should be restricted, meaning all adults would need a digital ID check to establish their age to access services. #DigitalID #privacy #AgeGate

No ID Checks for Web Access

Take action! What’s the problem? The Government has proposed amendments to the Children Wellbeing and Schools Bill, which would give Ministers the power to restrict access to "internet services". This is supposed to give the Government the power to ban under 16s from social media but “internet services" is a very broad definition, which means any online platform can be included. The wording of the amendment means they could do this without even having to prove that these sites are harmful for children.

@Narrowboat_LunaBetty @spodlife Sorry Sandi, I'm blind! Great to hear from you 😊
@Narrowboat_LunaBetty Thanks Tim. We were watching our usual canal based YouTube videos the other day when Zoë was wondering how and where you are. Seems such a long time since we all lived in Brearley.

@TheRealNooshu It's interesting because I left Eleventy for Astro a few years back, mainly because I wanted to try something new. Now I find myself considering a move back. There's something about Eleventy that I really miss.
