@10MARC try turning the cd32 over and back again while the audio cd is in the drive. If it plays once the unit is righted, then the laser needs adjusting / replacing. That was the case with mine - I’m tackling it this weekend. Good news is replacement lasers are cheap, and it’s supposedly a straightforward job… (will report on completion)
