Still can’t explain why GNOME3 looks like the fever death dream of the right side of someone’s freshly bisected corpus callosum.
Top bar is menu, application window list, systray, clock, maybe a logout button. Bottom bar is for quick launchers and a desktop switcher I’ll never use
My rule for desktop environments is that if I can’t make it look like GNOME2 from the early 2000s then it’s trash and unusable.
@xgranade I have a Mac for work and a spare MacBook Air I use for “emergency normal people things” like interviews where it Must Work.
I hate both machines. The level of “you don’t really own your computer” creeps me out. Not to mention the load bearing dependency everyone has on homebrew to do anything useful. I’d rather have a KDE plasma session duct taped together that does what I want.
So, I feel like it bears saying. People who "asked AI a thing" might be "speaking" to the first "person" that's treated them with anything resembling kindness in a long while.
Maybe hate the game not the player this time around.
