@truefans YouTube and Spotify both use proprietary systems for video – my hope is that Apple would adopt the open-podcasting proposal:
In podcast apps, the ability to switch between the audio and video versions of an episode is already possible in YouTube Music, Spotify, Fountain, and @truefans.
My dream is that Apple Podcasts would adopt a similar paradigm and make video a prominent feature of their platform again. 🙏
For this beta, we've implemented HLS in the `podcast:alternateEnclosure` (as described by @podcastindexorg and the Podcast Standards Project).

An HLS video equipped podcast feed allows your fans to seamlessly switch between the audio and video versions of your episode.
Now, Transistor is allowing podcasters to try this feature (in beta).

I love RSS + Podcasts, and there’s a group of people doing everything they can to make sure RSS can support content like video shows.
Thanks to @transistor and @mijustin Primary Technology is now delivering audio AND video in a single feed with open standards. Podcast apps like Fountain will soon support switching media on the fly, and I’m hoping other podcast apps support video via RSS as well ( @marcoarment👀)
3. Support atproto urls in the podcast:socialInteract tag when rendering the episode comments
