I moved a lot when I was a kid. From birth to 18YO: Wichita, Royal Oak, Iowa City, Ft. Lauderdale, Stone Mountain, Decatur GA, Hardy AR, Jacksonville AR, back to Iowa City. And about the same, maybe more, as an adult. Point is, I know from starting over. So, here I am.

Five years since the worst thanksgiving of my life, having to sit politely and make small talk when most of the people at the table did not know what was going on, that my marriage had collapsed a couple of days before, in an ugly and brutal way that left me totally blindsided.
