Born a few months before the launch of Sputnik 1.
Worked in housing development planning after a BS in Computer Engineering from Lehigh, 1979.

I googled the "Nunes Memo" and found a good explanation on the lawfareblog. Under COVID I watched inliewoffunshow on YouTube and then on crowdcast.

My wife, Joanne, and I have the most amazing in house discussions based on all the expert opinions we read.

I am interested in cyber-security, computers and national security.

@lawfare It seems Trump won by purchasing voters on the spot market, thus foiling the Democratic party's traditional organization. Trump's cohorts purchased internet platforms with the wealth gained from tech enterprises. Perhaps we should not be surprised when justice itself can be influenced.
As a voter in Stroudsburg, PA, I was contacted by at least four Democratic door-to-door campaign teams, including one checking that I actually voted today. I give credit to the one Republican State House candidate who knocked on my door. The Republican organizations were heavy on direct mail with largely negative pieces. Both sides had internet media ads.

"Of the last 321 polls in the battlegrounds, 124 - nearly 40% - showed margins of a single point or less, the pair wrote. Pennsylvania was the most “troubling” case, with 20 out of 59 polls showing an exact tie, while another 26 showed margins of less than 1%."

I would expect a larger variance. It seems the pollsters are seeking a predetermined average. #Polls #PAPolls

Dead-heat poll results are astonishing – and improbable, these experts say

It’s possible the tied race reflects not the sentiments of the voters, but rather risk-averse decision-making by pollsters

A J.D. Vance dossier has been banned on X (formerly known as twitter.)

A document part of the Iranian hack of the Trump campaign is a 271 research paper on J. D. Vance. https:/www.kenklippenstein.com/ posted this on his substack. https://www.kenklippenstein.com/p/read-the-jd-vance-dossier is the link to the post that contains a link to the Vance dossier.

Eight years of Trump campaign mode has taken a toll on the Republican State Party of Missouri.

The Republican Convention has no significant decisions to make, the nominee has been chosen. The platform will be ignored because the votes will be gathered by the campaign.

Why should we expect a state party to send a list of delegates to a national convention?

Missouri Republican party has until Friday to replace rejected state delegates

Dozens of Missouri Republican presidential delegates were rejected by the national conference, forcing the state party to replace them by the end of the week.

I am seriously considering changing my desktop to Linux. I have found the new Windows 11 start menu annoying. I am also glad to see agreement on the annoying aspect

New Windows 11 Start menu annoyingly hides oft-used actions

The Windows Start menu is undergoing a redesign that makes an unnecessary change.

This could be a strategic flaw in the LLM black box. Perhaps these types of attacks can be made expensive. But which corporation will bet its future with critical data on a black box blabber mouth?
@StillIRise1963 I am 65. All this is true. Credit cards were new, Diners Club was started in 1950. Incidentally, Diners Club cofounder Frank McNamara left his wallet in his other suite and his wife paid the bill. This led to the card concept.
Took me over a full minute to “get” this.
What do think is the most serious threat to America?
