I output all 131,957 frames of Wes Anderson's Bottle Rocket using ffmpeg in to 369GB of PNGs, then set the folder as a slideshow randomly selecting a new one every hour as my desktop background.
I'm obsessed with the result. Every frame a painting.

This’ll be a hot take.
There should be a loan scheme for apprentices where at the start of your second year you’re given a Kei truck, with no upfront costs.
The cost is drawn down if you finish your second, third and fourth years.
If you don’t - you have to pay it back HECS style
These things are cheap - $15k new in Japan. The government could absolutely make this happen.
It’d serve to break the “tradie = giant car” absurdity. It’d reduce the size and emissions of our trade fleet.
It’d get young blokes in to something newer and more reliable than the shitboxes all my trades friends drove as apprentices. It’d reduce their running costs.
Talking to a tradesman recently he lamented his giant Ute and said he’d be buying a smaller van next time. For any big materials purchases he just gets them delivered to site anyway.
