@siracusa On the latest ATP you say that the majority of feedback you had on the topic of running your own mail server skewed towards not doing it. Perhaps many more people emailed you to say it was possible and advisable, but you never received it.
I have a marketing idea to offer consulting services as a “Vibecoding recovery consultant” in about 6months time. “Have you built your business on a series of vibecoded hacks? Are you unable to add features without the system falling apart? …” https://mastodon.social/@searls/114271227819295723
@siracusa you are correct about CD-Rs being nowhere near S-tier. I had to transfer a lot of music projects (Protools, Logic etc) at uni in early 00s via CD-Rs as they were cheap and available on all recording studio machines and our home computers but they were very unreliable between brands and drives. @marcoarment@caseyliss - you are wrong.
@caseyliss it was *really* hard to exercise in the gym while bent double with laughter as @siracusa and @marcoarment ripped you a new one over your photos workflow. Was excellent comic relief!
@siracusa@caseyliss@marcoarment your ATP membership revenue from me hung in the balance during the iPod tier list horse trading section. You landed on the correct S tiers picks in the end but for a hot minute I thought folly was prevailing. Great episode - really I nteresting to see how weird the iPod line was
