Seriously, been working as a software developer for 9 years now and never passed a single coding test. The jobs I got were always the ones giving me weekend projects or just no coding test at all. I have a job opportunity that looks exciting but they sent me this coding test link and I know I’m gonna fail for sure. Any tips aside from the obvious (practicing in advance on leetcode etc)?

Hi! Been trying the app and I love it. Something that stood out to me as an app developer is that Product Sans is being used extensively in the UI. As far as I understand it’s not a font that can be licensed for use (only Google can use it). I know it’s been asked before since some search results came up from reddit but there was no answer from the developer. As someone who would want to use that font too could you explain how Sync is using or if it’s just a very similar font? - cpu clock is higher and when it boosts it can consume up to 14w, much more than A16
- however it is still more efficient than the A16
- gets slightly hotter
- apple is ahead of Qualcomm in cpu
- performance core is around 50% faster than qualcomm 8 gen 2
- efficiency cores are 2 to 4 times faster than qualcomm 8 gen 2
- on the gpu side, qualcomm’s 8gen2 from last year beats the iPhone by a small margin using slightly more power
- GPU performance is around 10% better than the steam deck but it can’t sustain it. (Thermal throttling)
- conclusion: good SoC but looks like some software tuning might be needed because the cpu boosting to 14w reduces the battery life in the pro models compared to iPhone 14.
I’m amazed how they managed to get hold of the new iPhones and run all these tests in such a small time!!
