How come Sync uses the Product Sans font? - Lemmy.world

Hi! Been trying the app and I love it. Something that stood out to me as an app developer is that Product Sans is being used extensively in the UI. As far as I understand it’s not a font that can be licensed for use (only Google can use it). I know it’s been asked before since some search results came up from reddit but there was no answer from the developer. As someone who would want to use that font too could you explain how Sync is using or if it’s just a very similar font?
