Gen AI hasn't really broken barriers in terms of creativity but it has certainly lowered barriers for what we accept as creative production. Why are people accepting mediocrity and slop so readily?

I get how people are paranoid about all these tech companies tracking behavior patterns and web activities. But like....do you feel heartbroken when your algo doesn't really "know" you?

I mean @searchliaison come one if you knew anything about me by now you'd know that when I search for KFC in Maps I mean fried not Football Club....kinda obvious. Also......

Always expected a competing search engine to replace Google but never imagined Google spending millions to kill their own product.
The Netflix adaptation of The Three Body Problem is worse than I feared. Never mind the white washing but the amount of dumbing down from the source material is insulting. Say what you want about the pacing of Tencent edition it was much more faithful and closer to how readers imagined while reading the books. #threebodyproblem
As soon as I go back from a dual OS setup with Linux to Windows-only, my windows always start acting up weird. Ended up doing a fresh install. Weird bugs everywhere
Newsfeed algorithms are what killed April Fools pranks. I am getting 3 day old jokes on my feed on social media.
Actually managed to finish a paper 24 hours before submission deadline. I do not know myself any longer.
