One-time permissions are finally here in Chrome: https://developer.chrome.com/blog/one-time-permissions/. I've been personally waiting a long time for this, as it will help with permission angst.

Folks, the X sign doesn’t just light up, it is an obnoxious *strobe* light. And it flashes right across the street from an apartment building.

This interview with ETSI (it was supervised by a staffer so it's the org and not the individual) is extraordinary. They admit they intentionally weakened the security of telecoms #standards ("for export control") and then kept all the details of the backdoored protocol secret for a quarter century so only the security services knew.

So much for "open standards" from one of Europe's 3 ESOs. @EU_Commission do you have a statement please?

The SFMTA removed the bike lanes from Valencia Street 3 months ago and the new center bikeway was supposed to be open in June.

Some clever pranksters have updated the "under construction" signs with messages like “If fire truck comes IDK” and “We regret this bike lane.” Perfect prank! No notes.
