well, now the hammer is just a weapon against vampires, so, still useful!
pff, who needs all that space anyway
It made for a fun day! We've gone an metal detecting trips in the past and found little more than old Pepsi cans from the 1970's, but this was such an odd spot, we couldn't believe our luck. We think someone who lived in the building previously buried them in a box/bag that decayed, then one got churned to the surface by the roots of the shrub they were under.
My wife went out to tend to the flowers in the tiny beds outside our apartment, found a coin-shaped thing which turned out to be a medal from WWI! I grabbed my metal detector and the earth just kept giving up more treasures!

We started the cleaning with a dry soft bristle brush tk knock off most of the mud and dirt, then bathed them in a citric acid solution (2 tsp citric acid crystals per 1 cup water). gave everything a final scrub then a buff with Flitz, and the details revealsd themselves.

Pretty fun adventure right outside our door!
Haha, mine was a Centipede cabinet I fished out of an autoshop that was about to be demolished. I assumed maybe two solid weekends of work. The water damage on the wood and base was way more extensive than I assumed, ended up selling it six months later. One good thing to come out of it was meeting an old geek who is spending his retirement just fixing CRTs in his barn. Pretty nice guy, a bit reclusive, but was willing to share knowledge.
Social Media only makes sense if you assume the other "users" are eally just bots.
did he always wear mittens? or am I having another mandella effect episode?
Easily my favorite Talking Heads album, but also one of my favorite albums of all time.
Lovely! Great perspective and depth captured here.
