I give a very brief overview of the alpaca industry in Aus, focusing on fibre (I'm a fibre nerd after all, but in the future I would like to look more into where things are going with meat production. Ditto their use in regenerative farming systems).

Finished a set of four before I was chased inside by rain. Off to edit a book, and then I get to cast on a sock to see how well I sanded these tips.

It’s been a second-coffee kind of morning, so I’m procrastinating on book revision by turning bicycle spokes into knitting needles. Wire pliers/cutters to take both ends off, then a lot of sandpapering to get rid of the spurs and form the tiniest of points. These are right on 2.25mm in diameter and will end up about 9” long.

Finally knuckled up and did the gathers on the dress. One more seam and I can run the elastic through it and toss it in the Done pile.

I wish to never hand sew gathers ever again, thank you kindly.

The gift bags are done. I can now "wrap" two presents. (Better yet, make the kid who bought the gifts do it.)
