昨天的討論讓我想到《Weapons of Math Destruction》這本書，查了一下發現竟然已經10年了。
10年前，就有一整本書在講演算法與數學模型，強化偏見與歧視的危險！

很不幸的，10年之後，這些模型被LLM包裝成似人的，更通用的「AI」，然後他們可能的偏見與歧視卻更不為人知🥲。
真的是超級諷刺的，昨天才在想週末和朋友聊的 Taiwan Studies 領域的研究內容。
所以這個站長認為，整個學界領域的知識，是 AI 模型可以憑空整理出來的？
世界上到底有什麼這個規模的事情會這麼簡單？

為什麼會有人挖一個維基百科大小的坑自己跳下去，而且一上線就寫 AI content welcome⋯⋯這應該很快就會出事了吧。然後又說，希望AI能看到屬於台灣人的內容，那是⋯⋯用AI內容訓練AI嗎？
動機很值得鼓勵，但再怎麼偉大的動機，都不該是走捷徑的藉口吧？

每次聽做Taiwan Studies 研究的朋友講他的主題都覺得，啊，人就是要有這種眼睛發光的熱情才能在一個領域讀PhD 啊⋯⋯而且每次聽這些研究都一邊覺得很有趣，一邊覺得原來我們不知道的事情還有很多很多。
真心覺得Taiwan Studies領域在形塑的是那個未來想像的國家的獨特的靈魂。希望這個學界能繼續成長。

Taipei was raided by the US Air Force back in 1945, and declassified reconnaissance photos clearly show school campuses were indistinguishable from army camps and were marked as such.
