@eniko No worries! I'm usually pretty okay with Kickstarters taking a long time to get filled as long as the creator doesn't vanish into the ether, which you haven't done. All good

@juliank "unofficial retro computing ports" While I understand Canonical doesn't have any reason to care about those platforms, as a retro tech enthusiast, it is always a sad day to see them more and more removed from support. It seems increasingly counter to what I always saw Debian as, which was the swiss-army knife of distros, a definition more relevant to Gentoo these days, I suppose.
Yay, snagged a new computer! Grabbed this out of surplus at work today. Case won't open, but that's an issue for future me. (As is where I'm going to store the dang thing)
@NanoRaptor Yeah, two years ago for me, at 36.
@NanoRaptor Luckily (?) it turns out I had undiagnosed ADHD, so I didn't get sorted into the gifted bucket, but instead was in the "you're so smart, but you don't apply yourself" bucket. Blegh!
@NanoRaptor I had a teacher in 2nd grade tell me I wasn't allowed to use the word "automaton" in a homework assignment because, "you don't know what that word means!" Of course I did, but that didn't change her stance. 😢
