In America in 2023, only 57% of homicides were "cleared". This is a shocking failure of justice.

@briankrebs
The American public should be alarmed at such a brazen homicide, and another alarming point is that:
"In 2023, murder and manslaughter charges had the highest crime clearance rate in the United States, with 57.8 percent of all cases being cleared by arrest or so-called exceptional means. "

I can't tell you what an incredible headline this is, given the decades(!) of pressure by the U.S. government advocating for technological backdoors, and all it had to take was China breaching some of America's biggest phone networks to get here.
"U.S. officials urge Americans to use encrypted apps amid unprecedented cyberattack." — @kevincollier

Reviewing what's publicly announced so far regarding the "assassination attempt" that wasn't keeps leading me back to the same prospect:
The Republicans staged the whole thing.
Musk's mind control cannot be tolerated in a forum that is supposed to be for public free speech. I do not visit x.com.
The phrase "thoughtcrime" comes to mind.
If you think Republicans are "weird", Musk is saying you've committed a thoughtcrime and will be punished (on x.com presumably).
The phrase comes from the book "1984".

You know one large gathering of people where guns are NOT allowed?
The NRA national convention.
I wonder why?
Erdogan regime tells Twitter to censor tweets in Turkey (almost certainly those opposing his reelection). Musk says "Hell yes!"
This comports with Twitter's new policy (since Musk took over) to say "Hell yes" to all censorship request from governments.
Mr. "Free Speech" indeed...
