Amid an unprecedented cyberattack on telecommunications companies such as AT&T and Verizon, U.S. officials have recommended that Americans use encrypted messaging apps to ensure their communications stay hidden from foreign hackers.
Reviewing what's publicly announced so far regarding the "assassination attempt" that wasn't keeps leading me back to the same prospect:

The phrase "thoughtcrime" comes to mind.
If you think Republicans are "weird", Musk is saying you've committed a thoughtcrime and will be punished (on x.com presumably).

It seems that 25% of Los Angeles Police Department vehicle pursuits result "in a collision that injured or killed innocent bystanders." That's quite a high Friendly Fire rate.
