Does anyone of the developer persuasion have a good feel for how the Mastodon 4.0 release candidates are going?
I’m thinking about holding off launching my instance until I can use 4.0 on it
I'm fascinated, as this exodus continues to see some of the brightest lights of the
#birdsite popping up here.
@neilhimself @stephenfry @gretathunberg @GreatDismal @cstross Excited to be part of epic change.
@DamienWise I tried and liked both mastoot and tooot on iOS but eventually concluded that they didn’t provide anything I wanted that wasn’t already in the official app.
If you see this toot (yeah this one right here), can you boost it for me? It will help my new server federate with the wider Mastodon network. 🚀 🙏
Sleep is a toddler who clings to your leg as you try to prepare for work, who follows you to work and asks inane questions any time you’re at risk of becoming productive. The Sleep Toddler makes it incredibly hard to to anything useful with your evening, begging you to go to bed… until it’s actually bedtime, when they vanish completely.
@dprk_ebooks I guess that’s probably sufficient. If you say “I trust and post from this instance” and that instance does an adequate job of using SSL and DNSSEC and so forth then that’s adequate.
Folks, is there a good way to cryptographically sign one’s Mastodon posts or account for proof of identity / authorship?
@Korny ActivityPub would be as good protocol as any to become the default medium for press releases.
@Korny no Australian institutions I can think of. Much more likely to have a Faceboot page in my experience.
