Does anyone of the developer persuasion have a good feel for how the Mastodon 4.0 release candidates are going?
I’m thinking about holding off launching my instance until I can use 4.0 on it
I'm fascinated, as this exodus continues to see some of the brightest lights of the
#birdsite popping up here.
@neilhimself @stephenfry @gretathunberg @GreatDismal @cstross Excited to be part of epic change.
If you see this toot (yeah this one right here), can you boost it for me? It will help my new server federate with the wider Mastodon network. 🚀 🙏
Sleep is a toddler who clings to your leg as you try to prepare for work, who follows you to work and asks inane questions any time you’re at risk of becoming productive. The Sleep Toddler makes it incredibly hard to to anything useful with your evening, begging you to go to bed… until it’s actually bedtime, when they vanish completely.
Folks, is there a good way to cryptographically sign one’s Mastodon posts or account for proof of identity / authorship?
Important for people still on the
#birdsite to remember: numbers there are declining markedly, but you can’t be counted as part of the exodus unless you deactivate your account.
#LetItGoWell, that’s it. Just deactivated my
#birdsite account and deleted tweetbot. I wonder if the 30-day cooling off period will expire before Musk just bans deleting your account?
I'm a big fan of the pomodoro technique for productivity, where I do my best impression of a tomato and sit in the dark for 48 hours before I am devoured by beings beyond my comprehension
Today is a better day. I’m building an instance on rants.au which I purchased yesterday. Currently trying to use tootsuite natively (I.e. without Docker) on AlmaLinux 9, on a nice big ARM VM. Challenging, but I want to get it just right before I turn it on and try to Federate.
