I have an Ashford Knitters Loom in 12 inches that might be great for you, it folds up so that it takes up less space and can take up less space WITH a project on it!
I also have the ashford joy for spinning, which also folds up.
(I do also have an ashford RHD in 2 feet and an 8 shaft table loom - also ashford - as well as a Schacht Inkle Loom. For the tight space I'd suggest the knitters loom for rigid heddle or a good pin loom for something like my kerchief.
