@indecisivetwat Same. I gave up trying to do the reverse engineering years ago. Now if someone doesn't get it, I usually respond with JFGI.
I've been told by a lot of people it's a low level Autism Spectrum Disorder thing, but I'm functional and can (sort of) interact socially, so can't see the point fretting about it.
Being mostly right without apparently doing the work annoys others, but that's their problem.
@Grimericano Yup, a name is specific to an instamce, to toot to another instance you have to include the instance name, like an email.
Follow a few admins for a while if you want your own instance, it's not outrageously hard for a competent programmer, but not to be undertaken lightly.
Try looking for an instance that matches your mindset, generally.
Maybe try searching a few hashtags and see what happens.
