Intrigued how this rough edge will get refined when macOS 26 graduates beta.

Will they full-bleed the horizontal bars behind the sidebar, deeming it part of the content?

Or maybe they’ll match the colour(s) of the horizontal bar to the content, a la Safari’s favourites bar, and further trade off legibility / visual stability?

Extremely surprised that Apple decided to go live with the formatting of “what’s new” text for macOS Sonoma. I kept seeing the same poor text formatting with the beta updates, but it looked so obviously broken that surely they’d fix it for the public release. I was wrong — someone at Apple thought this level of text formatting is good enough for the actual release.

I am now squarely in the ‘worried about the future of my favourite OS’ camp.
