@mcc Yeah Firefox has a Task Manager. Checking that a few months ago led to me uninstalling one of Mozilla's recommended add-ons - Tab Session Manager.
The cool thing about longplays is watching people who are way better than you in video games. I couldn't get too far in Cadash but seeing how to finish the game is nice.

@mcc Me when I use Firefox and try to figure out which extension caused it to eat up over 2 gigs of memory
@unnameduser Let me ask you a question: Why did you think that I wanted to segregate myself? Who is known historically for segregating throughout society even in France?
@1dalm This has been an interesting discussion though.
@1dalm Or straight. Or Eurocentric. So it was nice to find places like BlackPlanet but even then the toxic behavior you see on Twitter and Facebook were also present back then. I'm not nostalgic for Web 1.0 or whatever it's called these days. I just want a better place to socialize online and Mastodon has the potential to be that. That's why I joined.
@1dalm Don't get me wrong. I'm not the biggest fan of the return of walled gardens. I've been online long enough to remember web forums and personal sites made with Geocities. But I also remember how some of those spaces could be quite white.
@1dalm If I want to talk about Afrofuturism, I don't know many people in my life who share those interests. But I ran into some who did online and not just on Twitter.
@1dalm For example, I followed people who were working on game design projects. They gave frequent updates on their work on Twitter and I got to interact with them as well and learn more about game development. Sure, they have other platforms and I made sure to check them out there once I realized Twitter was going down the toilet.
@1dalm
While I understand your concerns, I never felt addicted to Twitter. For someone with my interests, I don't always have people to talk about them in real life. So it was nice to meet people from around the world that I could talk to about more niche stuff.
