Like ... Is there anything big tech can't ruin? Every big new thing ends up worse and more expensive for the consumer than the original version.
So I guess Amazon is about to ruin their ebook service. Not that i used it much, but still absolute garbage.
The loss of the precision stylus as standard equipment for touch-screen devices has I think significantly impeded their functionality. Palm's Graffiti was faster than on-screen keyboards, and handwriting recognition technology is significantly better than it was in the 90s – and even then later revisions of the Apple Newton software were reasonably good at it. Plus, quick sketches are an extremely useful form of information.
