Like ... Is there anything big tech can't ruin? Every big new thing ends up worse and more expensive for the consumer than the original version.
Athena L.M.The loss of the precision stylus as standard equipment for touch-screen devices has I think significantly impeded their functionality. Palm's Graffiti was faster than on-screen keyboards, and handwriting recognition technology is significantly better than it was in the 90s – and even then later revisions of the Apple Newton software were reasonably good at it. Plus, quick sketches are an extremely useful form of information.
