Moved to a new town, applied to work at a kitchen inside of a bar. Was called and asked to work 1 shift to see how i liked it, and was payed for that day in cash on the way out as they told me when i could work next.
The following work day as i was leaving my apartment the bar manager called and said they filled the position i had applied for and told me to not come in.
So i went back home đ¤đ
Thank God Iâve never run into whomever you have. I just hear:
âItâll happen when itâs time.â
âYouâve got your entire life ahead of you still.â
âDonât rush into it; enjoy your single years.â
Ugh⌠Time is running out each day, Iâm half way to my old years, and i HAVE enjoyed being single. Now Iâm ready to move forward.
Itâs the second half of your question. People have always been jerks online, but the older we get the more we seem to notice it.
When I was a kid and connecting to people online was slowly becoming more and more common i thought everyone was nice. Then i found out what âchatroomsâ were and realized thatâs a whole different crowd of people⌠Then i found out about forums and how certain ones had very nice and helpful people, and some had very know-it-all-call-you-stupid kind of people.
Now as an adult i see assholes everywhere online but have learned that if someone says something that doesnât settle right with me itâs probably bait, and not going to get better if i engage đ¤ˇââď¸
