I composed this song in April 2022 and I recorded it soon afterwards. However, it took me quite a while to decide how to present it visually. In the end I rummaged in a drawer until I found my old Casio FX-880P Personal Computer. I fitted it with some new batteries and filmed myself typing the song's lyrics. The FX-880P/850P was Casio's 1980s vision of The Future in the times when we also called it The Year 2000 - though things turned out very differently.

How's this for a moe gijinka (antropomorph) of the Electro-Harmonix V256 vocoder pedal? I think if a vocaloid has one, a vocoder shoyld be entitled to one, too! Comments welcome.  #synthwave #vocoders #electo-harmonix #ehx #moes #gijinka

@etherdiver @sintrom indeed I think that's a very intriguing idea. I do tend to write texts that accompany my imstrumental tracks but they tend to be prose, not poems - so they couldn't work as lyrics. Recently, though, I've started to put music to poems to make songs. However, I intend to release them as vocoder songs - which I think is almost like what you do, as I don't think a vocoder is the same as actual vocals. Hmm...
