Consider Buckminster Fuller’s Dymaxion map. He wasn’t flattening a globe, he was changing how we saw the world. Borders to one island Earth.

Internationalisation is cultural, political, reframing value.

Real reach = spatial enablement.

TIMN_ More Criticality and less 'Yass'ify Tribalism

Tribes, Institutions, Markets, and Networks, offers a comprehensive social evolutionary framework. Originating from research within the RAND Corporation in the late 80s and early 90s, TIMN delves into the implications of the internet, a burgeoning communication system, particularly in the context of warfare.

NERVOUSystems

NERVOUSystems is an inter–archive of writing and observations exploring but not limited to: architecture, world-systems analysis, organisational schemas (planning and negotiation), technology, and the stories we tell (or don’t tell) within our contemporary information/ organised environments.

“One cannot think without writing”
–Niklas Luhmann

In the most recent NERVOUSystems post I share how I have used Niklas Luhmann’s Zettlekasten archiving system to give form to uncertainty and developing my own personal archive.

Importantly it also starts my reflection on why, in a world where information and knowledge dissemination are paramount, understanding the mechanisms of cultural memory is more relevant than ever.

NERVOUSystems

NERVOUSystems is an inter–archive of writing and observations exploring but not limited to: architecture, world-systems analysis, organisational schemas (planning and negotiation), technology, and the stories we tell (or don’t tell) within our contemporary information/ organised environments.

We are suspended in a net, organised by inter-personal / social calculus.

The most recent post of NERVOUSystems begins to frame the archive as a space of choice and negotiation through design and strategy.

To start to to define the archive and avoid an architecture of simplification is the first step to embedding alternative schema.
