Just joined & not sure what I'm doing here yet, but I manage a private nature preserve in Western North Carolina, so guess I will share some nature observations to start.
Apparently covering my woodpile with a tarp makes for a great warm home for copperheads!

A good year for borer moths (Papaipema) on the preserve! Aster, Burdock, Red Brick & Ironweed Borers!
