Well one positive thing to my music all being in prepped in ableton: if I wanna mess around and play live anywhere but burning man, I can get an $89 midi controller/trigger thing that’ll let me do that easily

@twigmouse @Redfuchs honestly most couples I know are monogamous, or have tried open stuff and decided it wasn’t for them. Like Twig said, it’s just the one people don’t advertise as much. It’s more open than the average population for sure though
@twigmouse stuff like an Akai MPC One, Deluge, Maschine, “groovebox” things. Or: a controller for my laptop and ableton
@twigmouse basically it’s such a rare instrument versus the other competitors that me documenting it may be the first case anyone details. But yeah it’s entirely random, I tried everything including firmware and cards, less files, etc. a problem you can’t repeat it just one that’ll happen when it’ll be the worst moment :P I’d be super upset if it just cut to silence during a build or whatever
@twigmouse I posted a video, it basically randomly plays silence when it thinks it’s playing the samples/tracks when I switch between “scenes”
@croc no time to learn new workflow for the burn tbh, I can wait 🤷♀️

Worked for weeks to build loops for my little sampler and do a live set at burning man. I love sharing music and doing it live means you can adjust for the vibe
I’ve tried everything but getting ready to get the sampler set up and: it randomly plays silence 🙃
it’s so god damn disheartening and I had so much cool shit to go with an animal theme that I’ve worked on for months. Better equipment is like $600 and my laptop: is not going there

@tkwolf I’ve been in the area for over a decade haha ;p but yeah I work at Twigs so when we move I wanna find something slightly closer
