Python dev. Interested in networks (CompTIA Network+), Linux servers. Netrunner. Jack of all trades, master of none. Former QA/tester

Former manual QA and a junior Python dev with 6 months of experience. After four brutal years of personal struggles and health issues, Frustrated by job market ghosting and my own incompetence. So, I’m building my own product—hoping it will be useful and, fingers crossed, profitable.

It’s barely 15% ready, but it’s one hell of an adventure—anger, frustration, fear, anxiety, and excitement. Hoping to see some sun after years of storm.

Digging deeper, I used Postman and finally saw the problem: 'Unable to verify the first certificate.' It was an SSL issue. Fixed it, and now my site is verified on Mastodon with a green badge. Ready to move on to the next thing on my list.

The tool checked things like HTTPS, response time, and if my link was okay. I passed the HTTPS test but failed the next step. Used to work as a QA/tester, so I checked everything again. Seemed fine, but maybe my VPS setup was off.

I hit a bump with Mastodon Verification. No matter what I did, I couldn't get it to work. It felt bad seeing everyone else with their green verified badge, and here I was, stuck. 😩 But today, things took a turn for the better! I had a 'tech to-do list,' but got stuck on this verification thing. Couldn't find help online or figure out the problem myself. Started to wonder if tech was really right for me. Then, I found a tool that helped: https://mastodon-link-debugger.vercel.app/

Looking for a remote job, I decided not to just wait. I'm learning new things, going back over the basics, and trying out new stuff. I even made my own website. It's exciting to handle it all, even if I don't have my own servers but use a VPS instead. But, I ran into trouble with getting my website verified on Mastodon. Everyone else seemed to have their sites verified in green, but not me 😩. That changed today! #Learning #TechJourney

Hi, Mastodon! My name is Kamil. I'm into programming - mostly Python, a bit of JavaScript, and in my spare time, I dabble in Rust. I'm also interested in computer networks (I've completed CompTIA Network+), Linux servers, and well, technology in general. There are so many things to be passionate about, and I'm the kind of person who can't decide, so I know a little about a lot and am not an expert in anything. Nice to meet you all!
