Requesting #stata help: can anyone tell me why mkspline supports linear and cubic, but not quadratic, estimation? Is this a quirk or some theory I’m missing?

On a few related notes, a new Free Our Vote website will go live by the end of this calendar year.
That launch - initially planned for this summer - has been delayed primarily because we have been hustling on an ever growing list of projects.
One of those endeavors is an expansion of our footprint as an organization to Iowa and Washington state. We’re currently conducting outreach to inform 100k+ individuals they are eligible to vote in the 2022 Midterm Elections.
