@rbreich what's funny to me is that the people who opposed this would rather see me pay the remainder of my balance ($2800) to to government rather than put the money into a local business. I could spend it on something like a home project, or as a down payment on a new car, etc. but people would rather I spend it to pay off interest to the government?

Original principle was between 25-30k, so I've pretty ouch paid enough to cover that.
