Strange is a good word! I just got back from a trip to Rome and Florence and was finding myself wondering about the paths not taken - standing in the Basilica di San Clemente wondering about a church that could have included polytheism in a different way

Always been curious about gnosticism and have read fairly deeply on it but yeah the further you go the less obvious / clear it seems

Are you looking to build out in such a way as to have Vink/Kayn type self regulating feedback in the hardware domain?

I've successfully avoided Euro rack so far by doing software modular - seeing David Lee Myers feedback work in modular is pretty inspiring. Not sure my wallet or my time is ready for that particular quest but maybe someday

i really hear that spontaneity in the recent works and the element of surprise. The timing / cadence of interactibg rhythm, melody and drone/atmosphere gives that Kayn feeling at times.

Some of his interruptions / surprises are timbrally and as you said volume shifts, but they also hit the "pace" pretty hard - those abrupt left turns and cliff drops. Not sure I've personally ever gone for a rupture of those magnitudes in recent works

Hardware rebuild? I'm curious!
