A HUGE WIN!

On Wednesday, the Urban Agriculture Business License Enhancement Ordinance passed in City Council. This means that community gardens and urban farms will be eligible to sell whole, uncut produce from a stand on their property if they apply for a produce merchant license.

I’m not going to stop fighting though.

The future seems bleak.

I am feeling overwhelmed by pessimism. Things in my personal life have been difficult over the past few months, and I know that my troubles, like many of our social problems, stems from capitalism—but this realization doesn't help me feel any less defeated.

If you take a social media sabbatical, don’t announce it. Just make your last post something fun like “I wonder if there’s a bear in this cave?”
