I...have just received a Yuletide fic? I requested Norton Juster's _The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower Mathematics_ in 2010, and 13 years later some genius named cahier materializes with such a perfect fill, I'm kind of mad I didn't think of it myself. WTF. Behold!

Very intense, very traumatized-in-ways-he-is-and-is-not-aware-of WWX POV; deceptively simple prose that knocks you on your ass with some devastating insight or turn of phrase a few times per chapter; absolutely agonizing mutual pining, if you like that sort of thing.
It's fully written; she's just editing bits of the last chapters.
