Got my copy-edited version of my new children's novel this week. Lots to look through and see if I need to change.
So many little things I missed despite checking it about a dozen times! One thing was brought up. I used the expression "ages with" (seen sometimes as "she was ages with Tommy". Editor didn't recognise phrase and thought child readers wouldn't/
Anyone know the phrase - I'm old so maybe it's badly dated. Anyway, better get the head down and on with it.

Here's one that's really old.
Margot Pardoe was a children's author. Her Argle books feature the MacAlister children and their tutor in three time slip adventures. In Argle's Mist they travel through time to Celtic Britain, in Argle's Causeway to Norman England, and in Argle's Oracle to classical Greece. All three were published in the 1950s.
My book is available free as a PDF - a children's fantasy novel which opens with three children holding a séance. This is Halloween night and the last chance to read it free - unless you request it from your library.

Special Halloween Treat!
