My locksport club met up for the second time last night. We talked about how other hobbies such as fiber arts, miniature painting, and hardware hacking lend themselves to learning and maintaining locksport skills. Each of these hobbies have helped the group in developing their dexterity and patience. We also spent the evening trying shims and trying out picks we haven't used before. Looking forward to the next meetup I'm planning for August!

The Jumperless probe has some of the most interesting engineering solutions I've seen in a soldering kit.

Unboxed my Jumperless from @ArchiteuthisFlux recently. It's absolutely beautiful and packaged so well. You can read about my unboxing experience on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/posts/132126594. (The article is open-access)

Eight people showed up, which is more than I was expecting for a very first event. Each of the three folks completely new to locksport picked their first locks and I couldn't have been more proud of them! Between the eight of us we had three sets of picks and nine locks. The most interesting, and vulnerable, locks were from a dollar store. Really looking forward to picking up some more equipment and hosting this again next month!
Since the last update on my 2025 goal bingo sheet, I have performed in an aerial show, reviewed a lot more CFP submissions, and entered a 3D model contest. It's frustratingly slow going lately, but that's because I am making slow progress on some of the bigger goals.
Drew a new digital background for you all based on the artwork of a friend. This is the first time I have actually finished drawing a repeated shapes background! It really did feel more and more fulfilling as the drawing got closer to completed.

All week I've been designing electronic tea light candle holders for a gothic photoshoot I'm putting together. I wasn't able to find the props I wanted so I am making them myself. Each candle holder in the photoshoot will be unique. So far I've been cautiously experimenting with sidewall shape. I've got 22 more tea lights so there are plenty more opportunities to learn and try new ideas yet.

Created a voronoi candle holder. It still needs some finishing touches, like sanding and maybe some painting, to be complete but I'm really happy with the shape and design. It is 50 mm tall, 65 mm wide, and holds a 45mm by 45 mm electronic candle.
