@mtsw I would much rather see Joel Embiid in the playoffs than have his knee fall off because he has to play every game. The real issue is season length, which won't be changed for the same reason we won't have a relegation system: $$$.

@mtsw I kinda think this is trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist. Play in games introduce a lot of late season drama. I actually want the best players rested and uninjured for the playoffs and don't really care about watching bad teams.

@mtsw At least with sports, there are ample illegal streams. Can't even find one of those for the Oscars.

@mtsw It's just the newest iteration of the Charles Murray stuff. If we aren't allowed to say people are genetically inferior we can just say they are culturally inferior and their ideas are worse!

@space_wizard I personally think both those movies are very good. It's just they were aimed at teen kids from a very uncool company.

@mtsw there has been a lot written on this, but the Treasure Planet and Atlantis dead ends were almost entirely driven by the desire to get into the teen boy toy market that Disney ends up just buying with the Star Wars and Marvel purchases

@dandrezner Anti-immigration sentiment has been around about as long as the country itself. I hope this current generation grows up with more inclusive attitudes, but this is a real "i'll believe it when I see it" situation.
