@alex looks like the repo is gone now.

@photomatt This sums up my feelings perfectly Matt: https://youtu.be/jBOMlWl7fFk

You were correct in confronting #WPEngine suppressing #WordPress revisions, but your approach was wrong.

However, due to a conflict of interest, someone else who does not work for #Automattic should have addressed this on @WordPress blog.

Now you just 💩 in the 🛏️ of thousands of small businesses who are collateral damage in @wordpressdotcom war against WP Engine. Congrats! 👎🏾

Started a plugin for #Wordpress to http proxy the plugins and themes as a workaround for the craziness that Automattic is pulling on WP Engine.

I'm not a programmer but I got it to load the plugin menu.

If anyone can contribute or test, that'd be great.

@alex going to check this out tomorrow! Thank you for sharing!

It’s insane to me that .org powers are unilaterally being used for .com problems. This is a line I never thought I’d see get crossed so brazenly.

If you’re running an agency, this is a great time to show your value if you have maintenance clients on WordPress.

Communicate early. Communicate often. Your clients will take immense value in knowing someone is watching their back right now.

Just saying

Here's a way to turn anti-AI rage into action:

Normalize crediting.

I can't tell you how many times an invite, email, blog post, random bit of social media content goes out with some kind of unattributed lovely art.

CREDIT ARTISTS. ON EVERYTHING. It's easy. And if we normalized crediting enough, the generated images would stand out on their own for absence of credit.

#AI #art #GenAI #artists

@ckoerner that was pretty bizarre for sure!
@ckoerner that was great talk!
