iOS Developer and photographer in my free time
@zachwaugh macOS was very stable for me until this beta. This is the first one that breaks my workflow and that is because spotlight seems to prioritize safari history instead of Applications search
@marcelvoss It's not free labor. It's ensuring your customers have a good experience on the platform and with your apps
@amonduin @markv @stroughtonsmith @asiergmorato I don’t understand why that would be the case. The free apps in the App Store benefit Apple by making the platform more attractive. They’re subsidised by the paid apps which is a good thing. Apple can’t do that for the alternative stores, so they ask for money directly. Would you rather have apps banned from using core Apple technologies?
@rafa How do you add a tint color to a material background? I’ve been searching for this for a long time and I just can’t find an answer
Question for the RealityKit experts: I'd like to create a 3D model of a handheld game console and display that using ARKit and RealityKit. I'd like to add a SpriteKit game on top of the console’s screen. Is it feasible to combine RealityKit and SpriteKit like this?
@sdw Would you consider giving some tips on how you edit them? I find the iPhone pictures harder to edit than the ones from a big camera
@[email protected] @parismarx No need for that. Vision Pro already disables itself if it detects too much movement
@krzyzanowskim Well it was announced since last year 🤷🏻‍♂️
@mysterytoy @pauldoesdev @pointfreeco Even if Observable was backwards compatible, it relies on SwiftUI knowing about it and using it. That would mean backporting the internals of SwiftUI as well, which is not possible. So this will be iOS 17 only unfortunately
@twostraws @swiftovercoffee @mikaelacaron I’d like more ScrollView APIs. The new additions in iOS 17 are great but I still don’t think there’s a non hacky way to create complex custom navigation bars with parallax and other effects. Additionally, some kind of accessory view to context menus, similar ar to how reactions look when long press a message in Messages
