I have a dad who is harsh about anyone choosing to not suffer. Your dad sounds similar.
We live in community which starts with the family. We are meant to support each other. We’re not meant to know how to do it all individually. Some people know things we don’t. Some people seem to know a lot more and seem to be able to handle a lot more. That is just a fact.
It’s not a moral failing. They aren’t superior.

Maybe now you simply need to find new ways to get the support you need.
Fuck those who judge you for not knowing it all or for not doing most things alone.

Most people who pride themselves on doing everything on their own struggle later in life when they can’t (maybe due to illness or whatever) and don’t have practice reaching out to others for help.

Perfectly reasonable for a human to be worn down by it all by the time this so-called triumph gets here.
