@m_clem @ThomasJDurfee @dynarski @paulgp @absidd posted these steps: 1. Sign up to econtwitter.net (u can use the same email address as your existing server)
2. In the new account, go to accounts and select "moving from another account".
3. Then enter your old account handle.
4. Now login to your old account, go to accounts, then select "moving to another account".
5. Then enter your new account handle.
6. Submit
@absidd thank you!

Kinda feel like mastodon is much more optimized for shitposting and is, therefore, better
@ThomasJDurfee @dynarski @paulgp maybe this is a stupid question, but can I use my @mastodon.social login for @econtwitter.net?

There is now a Mastodon server just for #EconTwitter!

Thanks to @paulgp for building this lifeboat

If you’re looking for a server this is a great option

Econ (Twitter) Mastodon

Economics discussion on the academic side. Migration from #econtwitter! Discussion, both serious and light-hearded, on economic topics as well as other related fields.

Mastodon hosted on econtwitter.net
#StataTip: use inlist(VAR,a,b,c,...,y)==1 to condition on numerical a, b, c, etc. Works also for string variables!
