In an attempt to create healthier news habits for myself, I built an RSS reader around reading yesterday's news. No unread counts, no constant refreshing—just a finite, organized feed to read once a day.

Today marks the launch of v2.0, a ground-up rebuild. I hope it brings others some welcome focus too.

Learning a new instrument as an adult is a particularly enjoyable challenge, combining the nostalgic feeling of awkwardness that comes with being a beginner, a growing appreciation for routine, and the quiet satisfaction of incremental progress.

The way AI is being spoken about feels reminiscent of the early days of microwave ovens. "Replace your kitchen! Cooks an entire Thanksgiving meal in minutes!"

Fast forward 60 years, microwaves are a mainstay, but have found their place among appliances old and new.

Technology can be transformative, but on a long enough timeline people are pretty good at determining strengths and weaknesses, and finding its place.
