I get so anxious when it's 2 days before Thanksgiving and people are asking about defrosting their 15 pound turkey.

YOU NEED ONE DAY FOR EVERY 4 POUNDS TO SAFELY DEFROST IN YOUR FRIDGE.

If your turkey is still frozen, and it's more than an 8 pound bird, consider keeping it frozen and buying a thawed/fresh turkey instead. You probably want it thawed by tomorrow anyway, so you brine it, right?

People ask about trusting social media platforms. I do not trust/distrust any of those. If you write anything on any platform it is public and will be used to make money by someone. Period.

@sqlworldwide @DerFredo @kevchant I believe it's a new Mastodon server that was recently spun up. Supposedly there's a way to migrate accounts there if you want to, though I have yet to read or investigate this further.
